Colombo (News 1st); A women's rights movement alleged the government's Rs. 1000/- relief package is yet another scam.

"The relief package contains a packet of salt priced at Rs. 65/- and billed for Rs. 43/-. However, if you go to the public market, you can purchase three such packets for Rs. 100/- said Samanmalee Gunasinghe from the Women for Rights movement. This government had skimmed off money from the packet of salt as well, she alleged. "This relief package will last only for two days and I challenge the MPs and Ministers of the government to give this package to their wives to cook," she said.
