Sri Lanka to ban printed batik imports to boost local production

Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka will prepare a program with the necessary HS Codes to ban printed batik and handloom textile imports, said State Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera on Friday (09).

The State Minister of Batik, Handloom, and Local Apparel Products told parliament that ban will benefit local producers and urged the members of parliament to use local products.
