Colombo (News 1st); Ranjan Ramanayake has every right to appeal the decision of the court, said Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa in Parliament on Thursday (08). He questioned why parliament was in a rush to send out a letter to vacating Ramanayake's parliamentary seat when the opposition had proposed leave of absence. Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena said the opposition leader's statement was baseless and noted the Secretary-General had acted upon the constitution.
