10,000 houses to be removed from high-risk areas; Chamal

Colombo (News 1st); Approximately 10,000 houses located in high-risk areas will be removed, Minister Chamal Rajapaksa told the Parliament on Tuesday (06).

"The National Building Research Organization has identified 10,000 houses in high-risk areas and they need to be removed. Lands need to taken over to providing housing and most of these lands will have to be taken over from areas such as Ratnapura," said the Minister.
