NMRA approval to use Oxford /AstraZeneca vaccine

Colombo (News 1st); National Medicines Regulatory Authority has given regulatory clearance for emergency use of Oxford /AstraZeneca in Sri Lanka, said State Minister Dr. Channa Jayasumana on Friday (22).

Speaking to reporters in Colombo, the State Minister said the vaccine will reach Sri Lanka soon adding this would be the first time the NMRA has approved a COVID-19 vaccine. In addition, applications have been received with respect to other COVID-19 vaccines for approval, said the State Minister.
