COLOMBO (News1st): Forty-eight top positions at the archaeology department that have been vacant for decades will be filled in the near future, a state minister has said.
The legal impediments to make these appointments will be resolved, national heritage state minister Vidura Wickramanayake told media on Sunday.
Currently, 10 directors and 38 assistant directors’ positions are vacant at the department, slowing down the effectiveness of the state body, the state minister pointed out.
