Colombo (News 1st); 50 workers from Colombo Dockyard PLC were directed to quarantine after 05 Dock-Workers tested positive for COVID-19.

However, Sri Lanka Ports Authority Chairman General Daya Ratnayake speaking to News 1st said the port operations are taking place as usual without any delay.

Other COVID-19 updates;

212 workers from the Katunayake Investment Promotion Zone have tested positive for COVID-19 thus far, said Mahendra Balasuriya, the Secretary of the Sri Lanka Public Health Inspectors Union.

As of 17th October 2020, 02 factories located at the premises were completely shutdown.
