Colombo (News 1st); The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) ships which arrived in Sri Lanka on 23rd September 2020, departed from the island on Thursday (24th September), on successful completion of a combined naval exercise carried out with the Sri Lanka Navy.
Accordingly, this naval exercise was conducted by the two ships “JS Kaga” and “JS Ikazuchi” of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force with SLNS “Gajabhahu”, Fast Attack Craft and Inshore Patrol Craft of the Sri Lanka Navy, in western seas.
The exercise paved the way for exchanging knowledge and experiences of the two navies while enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries.
