Mandatory for all imported school buses to be painted in yellow : Transport Ministry

The Ministry of Passenger Transport Management decided to make it mandatory for all school buses imported in the future to be painted in yellow.

In a statement, the Ministry said the decision was made by Minister Mahinda Amaraweera following talks with School Transport Associations and Sri Lanka Police.

Earlier, The Ministry of Passenger Transport Management decided to make it mandatory for all school transport vans to be painted in yellow.

Thereafter citing a mistake was made in the statement, the Ministry of Passenger Transport revised its position and stated only imported school buses will have to be painted yellow.
