Two arrested with 124 counterfeit notes

Colombo (News 1st) - The Police arrested two men for the possession of 124 counterfeit Rs 5000 notes from Kurunegala and also seized a computer used for the printing of these fake notes. Police said the suspects had used the fake notes to purchase groceries from a store in Kurunegala adding the store-owner alerted the police which later resulted in the arrests. The suspects were remanded by the Kurunegala Magistrate's Court until the 09th of December.
