2 suspects arrested with firearms

Colombo (News 1st): A suspect has been arrested in Katudampe, Rathgama while in possession of a locally manufactured firearm. According to the Police, the 37-year-old suspect has been arrested following a tip-off received. The suspect is due to be produced before the Galle Magistrate Court today (November 7). Meanwhile, another suspect has been arrested with a locally manufacture firearm and 3 rounds of ammunition in Kotawila, Mirissa. The suspect is a 36-year-old resident of Ambalangoda. He is due to be produced before the Matara Magistrate Court.
