Colombo (News 1st): The Sri Lanka Army will commemorate the fallen war heroes, who sacrificed their lives for the country, at the Victory Day celebrations to be held tomorrow (May 19).
On May 18th, 2009 the entire nation celebrated the end of a three-decade-long conflict as Sri Lanka gained victory over the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) which had been fighting for a separate state for nearly three decades.
The Ministry of Defence requested the general public to light a lamp at religious places, government, and private institutions, and all homes at 7 pm tomorrow to commemorate all fallen war heroes of the tri-forces.
