Weapons cache discovered at Sammanthurai

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Two hundred sticks of gelignite and several other weapons were discovered during a search operation conducted in a joint operation by the Sri Lanka Army, Police, and STF at Mal Ara area in Sammanthurai. The operation also found three T-56 magazines, 7 shotgun bolts, 40m detonator wires, 2 pistols and a number of other weapons. The News 1st provincial correspondent reported that the weapons cache was buried in a barren land in the area.
