Reuters - Authorities in the Dominican Republic told a Santo Domingo news conference on Tuesday (April 9) that they have found two bodies that could be two American citizens that went missing in the Caribbean nation in late March.
Orlando Moore and his girlfriend Portia Ravenelle had been scheduled to return to the U.S.A. on March 27, but never made it to their flight.
Police spokesperson, Frank Felix Duran, told media that evidence suggests the U.S. citizens were victims of a car accident from a rental vehicle the pair were driving to the airport.
A body resembling Moore was recovered from the sea near San Souci on March 31. Previously, on March 27 a woman with trauma to her body was found on a highway and taken to a hospital. She later died from her injuries, according to reports.
Authorities are waiting for tests on the bodies to confirm their identities.
