COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Registrar General's Department has decided to issue birth certificates with all three languages included adhering to international standards. Registrar General Chathura Vithanage noted that this initiative will commence from April.
He added that the new birth certificate will have new security measures such as a QR code, a barcode and also a new watermark.
The Registrar General added that all children born on the day following the implementation of this new birth certificate will be issued the new birth certificate.
