Colombo (News1st): Reginald Cooray, the former Governor of the Northern Province and former Governor of the Sabaragamuwa Province, Niluka Ekanayake, were appointed as chairpersons of two state institutions by President Maithripala Sirisena.
Reginald Cooray was appointed as the Chairman of the National Gem and Jewelry Authority, a position earlier held by Peshala Jayaratne the current governor of the North Western Province. Niluka Ekanayake was appointed and the Chairperson of the State Timber Corporation.
