TNA affidavit was to help UNP lead government

Colombo (News 1st) -  TNA MP  M.A. Sumanthiran stated that they extend their support to appoint a Prime Minister from the UNF, but that didn't necessarily mean that they hope to join the government. The leader of EPRLF Suresh Premachandran stated that Sampanthan got 14 TNA MP's to sign an affidavit to file a case claiming that the appointment of Mahinda Rajapaksa was illegal. He went on to note that the letter sent to the President was in the stance of supporting a government led by Ranil Wickremesinghe. He states that this affidavit was not only a lie to the public but a manipulation of the TNA MP's itself. Concluding he stated that, this was done so that a UNP led government could be established.
