COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Education has confirmed that Advanced Level examination question papers and answer scripts remain secure at designated centers, despite the disruptions caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
Deputy Education Minister Madhura Senaviratne stated that a decision on the dates for the A/L examination will be announced soon, emphasizing that the move aims to ensure equal opportunity for all students affected by the disaster.
Meanwhile, authorities have decided to keep universities and higher education institutions closed until December 8, with reopening dates to be announced later.
However, the Ministry clarified that schools will reopen on December 16 as previously scheduled, unless an official change is communicated.
