$1 Million Cash + RMB 10 Million Aid for Sri Lanka From China

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka announced a humanitarian gesture from Beijing to support Sri Lanka during its ongoing disaster recovery efforts.

In a statement shared on social media, the Embassy reaffirmed solidarity with the island nation:

“Chinese people are always with Sri Lankan brothers and sisters.”

The assistance package includes:

USD 1 million in cash donations

Relief supplies worth RMB 10 million

This aid comes directly from the Government of China.
