Sri Lanka Appeals for Global Support Amid Devastating Floods | Here’s How You Can Help – Official Details Inside

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Government of Sri Lanka has announced official banking channels for individuals, organizations, and international partners wishing to contribute towards relief and recovery efforts for communities affected by the ongoing disaster situation.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, contributions can be made in any foreign currency to the designated account of the Deputy Secretary to the Treasury at the Bank of Ceylon (Account No: 2026450, SWIFT: BCEYLKLX).

Additionally, donors may transfer funds directly to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka’s foreign currency accounts in major global currencies, including USD, GBP, EUR, JPY, and AUD, through partner banks such as Deutsche Bank (USA), HSBC (UK), ODDO BHF Bank (Germany), MUFG Bank (Japan), and the Reserve Bank of Australia.

The Government expressed its sincere appreciation to all individuals, organizations, and international partners for their generosity and support during this critical period.
