Revolver Found in Abandoned House

COLOMBO (News 1st); A major breakthrough in an ongoing criminal investigation has led to the recovery of a revolver and three rounds of ammunition from an abandoned house , police confirmed today.

The discovery was made following information provided by a suspect currently held under a detention order. 

The suspect, aged 28, was arrested on November 11 in connection with possession of crystal methamphetamine (Ice).

Further investigations revealed the suspect’s alleged involvement in a violent abduction and armed robbery, where a firearm was reportedly used to threaten the victim before stealing cash and valuables.
