Minister Vijitha Herath Discusses Boosting Film Tourism with Indian and Sri Lankan Industry Stakeholders

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath met with Indian actor and producer Ravi Mohan, singer Keneesha Francis at the National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka yesterday. 

The discussion focused on enhancing Sri Lanka’s film tourism potential and promoting local film industry development through international collaboration. 

Minister Herath noted the government’s commitment to policy reforms aimed at attracting foreign film productions to Sri Lanka.

The chairman of the National Film Corporation, Sudath Mahadivulwewa, also participated in the meeting, which highlighted the role of cinema and music in advancing tourism, cultural exchange, and economic growth.
