COLOMBO (News1st): Chief of Staff of the Indian Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh has said India is prepared to support Sri Lanka's tri-forces at any given point.
He made these remarks during his meeting this morning, with Army Commander General Shavendra Silva at the Army Headquarters in Akuregoda in Battaramulla.
"...you will find that whatever is required be it training, mutual visits, exercises; our build-up of relationship on the defence - you will find us forthcoming on every front," the Indian Air Chief Marshal noted.
Sri Lanka's army commander thanked India for its continued assistance on the military front.
"Especially we have been trained with the paratroopers from the Indian air force," General Shavendra Silva pointed out.
He also thanked India for donating the first batch of 500,000 COVID-19 vaccines to Sri Lanka.
