March 08, 2010: The relics of St. Anthony arrived in the island from Italy yesterday to coincide with the 175th jubilee of the St. Anthony's Shrine in Kochchikade.
The relics were taken from the airport to the shrine in a colourful motorcade.
The relics will be placed at the St. Anthony's shrine in Kochchikade for three days and a spokesman for the shrine said that devotee would be allowed to visit the shrine from 5am to 11pm during this period.
The relics will also be taken to several other churches and on the 24th, they will be taken back to Italy.
