July 30, 2010: There is an increased interest amongst intellectuals on the Buddhist philosophy, says Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena, Deputy Minister of Economic Development.
The function was held to felicitate four late chief incumbents of the Matara Sapugoda Science Pirivena.
“Many intellectuals have started studying the importance of Buddhism and its impact on our lives. The Buddhist philosophy not only resolves the day-to-day problems in our lives but how to lead our entire lives and what we must do to end our continuous life cycles,” said Abeywardena.
