COLOMBO (News 1st); Deputy Minister of Housing T. B. Sarath announced that the government is preparing to implement a structured and participatory development model, aimed at ensuring long-term benefits for communities across Sri Lanka.
Speaking at a public event, the Deputy Minister emphasized that the upcoming development initiatives will not resemble the ad hoc, commission-driven projects seen under previous administrations.
Instead, he said, the new approach will prioritize grassroots involvement, with local representatives and community members playing a central role in planning and execution.
T. B. Sarath urged the public to remain patient, assuring that the planned development strategy will be unveiled soon and will be sustainable, inclusive, and transparent.
