Discussions Underway on National–Provincial Teacher Transfers – PM

Colombo (News 1st): Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya says that discussions are currently underway to establish a teacher transfer system between national and provincial schools.

She noted that a structured and effective teacher transfer policy will be introduced to address the prevailing shortage of teachers.

The Prime Minister made these remarks while addressing an event held to brief the Ratnapura District Education Authorities on the government’s new education reforms.

She stressed that teachers are a decisive factor in the education process, and maintaining an appropriate teacher distribution is vital to ensure its success.
