S. Thomas' & St. Bridget’s Triumph At Shakes 2024

COLOMBO (News 1st); S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia emerged victorious in the boys' segment of the annual Shakespeare Drama Competition, organized by the YMCA and Rotary. 

The event took place today at the Bishop's College Auditorium, where the Thomians not only secured the overall win but also swept the major acting categories.

The team took home awards for Best Actor, and Best Villain, and shared the Best Supporting Actor award with St. Joseph's College. 

St. Bridget’s Convent clinched the first place in the girl's segment at the 2024 All Island Shakespeare Drama Competition. The event, which has been a prestigious platform for young dramatists since 1973, saw fierce competition from schools across the island.

The second and third places were awarded to Vishaka Vidyalaya and Museaus College, respectively.
