University Non-Academic staff to Launch TU Action

Colombo (News 1st); The Joint Committee of University Trade Unions says that all university non-academic staff have decided to initiate a continuous trade union action.

Its co-chairman Dhammika S. Priyantha says that the trade union action will start from 12 noon on the 2nd of May.

They have cited the 15% salary cut of the non-academic employees as reason for this.

In the past, the Joint Committee of University Trade Unions continuously engaged in trade union action demanding that the salary problem be rectified.
