Multiple requests to nominate Wayamba VC

COLOMBO (News 1st); Several politicians have made nominated a Professor at the Wayamba University and have made requests to appoint the relevant Professor to the Vice Chancellor position.

Accordingly, MPs Samanpriya Herath, Sanath Nishantha, D.Y.K. Rathnasekara, D.B. Herath, Nalaka Bandara Kottegoda, Gunapala Rathnasekara have directed letters to the Prime Minister to appoint the Professor as the Vice Chancellor of the Wayamba University.

Furthermore, the Viyathmaga organization has also requested to appoint the Professor as well. 

Moreover, Parliamentarian Vijitha Herath on Friday (21) revealed that the relevant Professor is the same person who signed for bail on Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa's case, and demanded the Government as to why the Education sector of Sri Lanka has fallen to a such a plight.
