Those above the age of 30 requested to obtain vaccine soon

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police Spokesperson Senior DIG Ajith Rohana requests all those above the age of 30 to obtain the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as possible. He further stated that a special vaccination program has been organized by the Community Police Division in collaboration with the health authorities of the Colombo Municipal Council continues at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo for the people in Colombo who are yet to obtain a single dose of the vaccine against COVID-19. Police Spokesperson Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said the special vaccination drive was conducted at the Shalika Hall in Narahenpita yesterday (10) where approximately 2,000 persons were vaccinated against COVID-19. The Senior Deputy Police Chief noted that a total of 11,000 people have been vaccinated at both the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo and Shalika Hall in Narahenpita within a 05-day window. He says that the special vaccination drive today will be conducted at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium and it is open for all those who are above the age of 30 and are yet to obtain the first vaccine dose. He added that the Community Police Division is also tracing people in the Colombo City who are yet to obtain the vaccine and are directing them to the vaccination center. Therefore, Senior DIG Ajith Rohana requests the people in Colombo who are yet to obtain the vaccine to proceed to the vaccination center.
