US-Iran tensions: Sri Lanka will be a part of it-Sajith Premadasa

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A public gathering with the participation of the Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa was held in Kalu Aggala, Avissawella today. This was organized by UNP Avissawella electorate organizer and former member of the provincial council Leonard Karunaratne. Sajith Premadasa, Opposition Leader stated that the tensions between the US and Iran will affect the global economy and peace adversely. He added that with the signing of ACSA Sri Lanka has become a supply hub for the US and Sri Lanka is a part of this tension. He went on to note that if the oil prices are to increase and the demand for tea decreases Sri Lanka will be in a difficult situation.
