Litro Gas Terminal to open in Mabima

COLOMBO (News1st); Chairman of Litro Gas Muditha Peiris said a new Litro Gas Terminal will be opened in Mabima, Kaduwela on Wednesday (08).

He said the terminal will facilitate the issuance of around 60,000 gas cylinders daily.

100,000 gas cylinders are released to the market daily from the Kerawalapitiya Gas Terminal, which is currently in operation.

Peiris said the Kerawalapitiya Gas Terminal is insufficient to meet the current demand, and accordingly plans were made to open a new gas terminal in Mabima.

He said the terminal will be in operation during weekends initially, and both terminals are expected to operate at the same capacity by next year.

Muditha Peiris said the opening of the new gas terminal will ensure an uniterrupted supply of gas, if the need arises to close the Kerawalapitiya Gas Terminal for maintenance activities.
