Sri Lanka's Ali Sabry To Head To Saudi Arabia For Special Meeting on Global Collaboration

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister is expected to leave for Saudi Arabia to take part in the Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development in Saudi Arabia next week.

Special Meeting of the World Economic Forum is to take place in Saudi Arabia next week.

The Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development, scheduled to take place in Riyadh, will help public and private sector leaders address shared global challenges.

The Special Meeting will bring together over 700 leaders from all sectors and industries, enabling a comprehensive dialogue on leveraging global cooperation for economic development, promoting a global energy transition that underpins sustainable development and furthering technological advancement, supporting the Forum's work to shape a more equitable and resilient global economy.

Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Ali Sabry is scheduled to leave for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to attend the World Economic Forum’s Special Meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from 28-29 April 2024.

During the visit, Foreign Minister Ali Sabry will join as a panelist in two Sessions, namely “Building the Urban Future” and “North to South, East to West: Rebuilding Trust”.

On the sidelines, the Foreign Minister is expected to have bilateral meetings with his counterparts from a number of countries, including Saudi Arabia, the host country.

The Minister will also meet the Sri Lankan community in Riyadh and visit the Sri Lankan International School in Riyadh.
